Common Measures

The investigators in the Healthy Heart Center are using common instruments to measure demographic characteristics, rurality, physical activity, and quality of life in their pilot studies. The purpose of the common measures is to generate knowledge across different populations and in response to differing interventions. Generating knowledge in this way will advance the science in these areas more rapidly than the often current practice of investigators using individually different measures in their studies.
